EmpowerMT in Fredrick Maryland In early March, EmpowerMT continued our national partnership work in Frederick, Maryland, leading a training for the 12–24 Collaborative. Over three days, Heidi and Rajiem partnered with the Youth Advisory Council and Steering Committee, culminating in a convening of over 100 professionals from youth-serving organizations.
The Diversity Day theme chosen by EmpowerMT’s Youth Advisory Council, "Light, Courage, Action" was personified with the keynote speaker Wilson McLaughlin's words,
"The world needs people who take action, and I know that each and every one of you standing here today are the people who do so. Find the light, and fight for it like hell, because that is how we can change the world for the better."
This FREE 3-day leadership camp is held at the beautiful Camp Paxson on Seeley Lake, where nature itself becomes part of the healing and growth experience. You'll have a TON of fun while diving into a powerful curriculum facilitated by EmpowerMT's own Youth Advisory Council!
