EmpowerMT supports, mobilizes, and engages LGBTQ+ Two Spirit youth, BIPOC youth, youth with visible and invisible disabilities and all allies as leaders in tackling individual and institutional transphobia, homophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination in an effort to build safer schools and communities.  This is accomplished through our LGBTQ+ drop-in groups the Be You Crew and Youth Forward, our BIPOC drop in program, ABY, Diversity Day, the development of the statewide Gender and Sexuality Alliances (formerly Gay-Straight Alliances) youth leaders and adult mentors, and by coordinating a coalition of statewide partners working together through the Montana Safe Schools Coalition. EmpowerMT is a sought-out resource and model for supporting, empowering, and creating healing centered safe spaces of meaning and belonging for all youth in Montana.
